Tinderet/ Kenya – We pray for the young people of our children’s home, who finished their basic schooling and are now in polytechnic schools, colleges and universities. May they grow closer to God as they learn to cope with life independently and take responsibility for their future.
Moundou/ Chad – On March 10th, we were able to start this year’s 6-week mobile Bible school, training lay people in Pala and Lai. Pray with us that the teachers can organize their lessons well and that the participants grow in the Word of God.
Tinderet/ Kenya – At the beginning of this month, our vocational school will become a testing centre for the one-week national examination. We pray for our own candidates and for those coming from other schools to concentrate well and demonstrate effectively all they have learned.
Lodwar/ Kenya – This month we are doing home visitations to see how our TCCP children are doing in their foster families. Pray that we are able to get a clear picture and have a chance to encourage the whole families.
Arua/ Uganda – This month we hope to start building a “Roman” road to the entrance of our site. We also need to put up new stone siding on some of the buildings. This is hard work. Please pray with us for strength, protection and success in this project.
Haiger/ Germany – Today a group of DIGUNA staff is attending a Missions Day for Children in Freudenberg. Together with other mission societies we will be meeting many children. Please pray that the children will have open hearts and much excitement as we share our first-hand experiences in missions.
Ngechek/ Kenya – This month, we will hold three, one-week Bible trainings, each in a different area. It is a program of several years, program, which aims at strengthening Christians in their faith and training them to become pastors. Today one group will go to Elgeyo Marakwet. Pray for protection in their travels and for the teachers, who will explain the Word of God to the students.
Haiger/ Germany – April 7 – 11, 2025 will be another introduction week for new missionary staff. We are still looking for short-term volunteers. Please pray that more people will respond to God’s call to a few months in Africa.
Ngechek/ Kenya – This week, we will hold a camp with about 100 teenagers in Ngechek. It is our wish and prayer for the children to get to know Jesus better and their relationship with God will become more intense. Pray for the program to flow smoothly and that everyone will have a blessed time.
DIGUNA/Africa – We are currently seeking short- and long-term staff for accounting and office jobs on our stations in Kenya. Please pray that God will send us the right people who will do their work with dedication and a heart for God.
Mbagathi/ Kenya – We are supporting a church group from AIC Muvuti Church District as they go to Voi today for two weeks of ministry. We pray that the church will be encouraged as they participate in the ministry.
Lopit / South Sudan – Please pray for Pastor S. and Pastor D., who lead our small church in the village. They experience many challenges related to the animistic culture of the Lopit. It is not easy for them to stand firm for the Gospel and, if necessary, to stand up against their tribesmen.
Aru/ Congo – As a result of the rebel attacks in the province of Kivu (mentioned in March), some missionaries had to leave Bunia, the provincial capital, and other places for security reasons. Some of them stayed with us at the DIGUNA station for a night or several weeks. The mutual encounter and spiritual fellowship were a real blessing.
Discipleship Training School/ Kenya – We are expecting a new teacher for the Discipleship Training School in the middle of this month. Peter Maina will travel ahead from Germany to start teaching. His family will come along later. Pray that everything will go well.
Mbagathi/ Kenya – Today we are sending a team, together with AIC Kasina, to Maungu for several days. Our prayer is that this collaboration will encourage the church to participate more in outreach ministries.
Radio Ministry/ Kenya – We are thankful to God that the donated, 2,800 portable solar radio receivers have been shipped from the USA. Let us pray for smooth and easy custom clearance.
Lodwar/ Kenya – This month various churches are having youth and women’s conferences; some taking place as joint events. Pray for a profound spiritual impact, smooth administration and that these gatherings will revitalize the churches.
Arua/ Uganda – The church has requested for us to do some discipleship training for youth leaders this month. We pray for good and fruitful times together during their training. Our goal is to equip each one to disciple the youth in their various churches, as they continue being disciples of Christ themselves.
Tinderet/ Kenya – From April 21–26, 2025 we will offer an interdenominational youth camp in our Rainbow Polytechnic School. Young people from ages 16 to 25 are invited to come and enjoy God’s Word, some games, and good food together. Pray for open hearts and minds of the youth as well as our staff members.
Mbagathi/ Kenya – We have a week-long VBS (Vacation Bible School) starting today at AIC Emmaus Rimpa church. We pray for a blessed time as the kids interact with our team and learn from God’s Word.
Aru/ Congo – Our evangelism work in Congo requires our vehicles to function properly. We need auto mechanics for maintenance and drivers in order to do outreach. We are planning a program, with our partner church, for experienced mechanics to instruct and train motivated church staff. Please pray that this training will take place and be successful.
Tinderet/ Kenya – We thank God for the teacher assistants in our German School. They are a big help to the parents as they create sort of a real school atmosphere by using the home-schooling programme. We also pray that new teacher assistants can be found for the next school year.
Ngechek/ Kenya – Over the past 20 years needy children have found a home at “Royal Totos Children’s Home” in Ngechek. Today we are having a great celebration to give praise and thanks to God for His faithful provision and help throughout good as well as challenging moments.
Aru/ Congo – A missionary couple from Bunia organized the ‘Simply the Story’ seminar during their stay with us. The aim: to pass on Bible stories word for word and let the listeners explore the story through targeted questions. This method was eagerly received by the participants. We thank God for this valuable seminar and pray that it will bear abundant fruit.
Arua/ Uganda – There is a rapid increase of interest in our Emmaus Bible Course in the prisons. We are glad to see this and pray that the students learn to understand God’s Word better and allow it to impact their lives.
Moundou/ Chad – Since 2017 a part of our Chadian partner church has split off. The reasons for this are complex. So far, attempts of reconciliation have been blocked. Next year the church celebrates 100 years old. From our perspective, there should be a common celebration from the church as a whole. Please pray that reconciliation can take place.
Haiger/ Germany – Every morning we start the day together with a devotion, prayer and songs. We are grateful for this opportunity to focus on God’s Word together and prepare the work of the day beforehand through prayer.
Tinderet/ Kenya – At the end of this month, the Brakel family will leave for home assignment until the end of August. While in Germany, they expect their new baby to be born. We thank God for His help with all the preparations and pray that the family will have a blessed time with relatives, the church, and friends.
